Wilderness Wednesday - Waterfall Wonder

Couldn't help myself with the title but seriously this is kinda cool. I love water, and waterfalls are so soothing to listen to.  Unfortunately this isn't my pic but enjoy anyway.

Trippy Tuesday - Avoid the Trip

So today is shoestring awareness!  Avoid the trip and make sure to tie your shoestrings correctly.  Aside from everyone looking at you, especially if you're a grown person in your Gucci power suit, lying on the ground nursing your banged up knee, wondering why on earth you fell in the first place.  Ok, that's about the gist of it, at least for me.

So, TIE YOUR SHOES!  Although realistically I would be wearing pumps with a Gucci suit but whatever.

Manga Monday - Cat Girl

Of course a cat girl would be a manga.  Where you can have a live action cat girl, or cat woman, it's hard to make it look like it really fits without doing serious CGI or costuming/makeup.

Doubles Sunday - Sundogs

Not really a double but still pretty cool.  In fact you can only see sundogs in cool climates since the event happens because of specific ice crystals that can form and refract the light of the sun just right so as to see the "twins" on either side.  If you're up (or down) that way keep a lookout for this.

Space Saturday - Imagining the Future

When we imagine what space can be and what we want to do with it, that's when we come up with the ideas that will eventually be refined to what we will do in the future.  Rarely is the idea a direct link to reality though.  The millions of things we don't think about shape the idea into something that can work.

Fractal Friday - Spiral Shell

I know this isn't a real shell but the concept is the same.  Shells spiral repeating the same layers over and over as the snail grows bigger.  Not an exact repeat but in nature it never is. Here however it repeats at a precise interval.

Bonus Post - Ruins

Came across this and didn't know where it should go.  So, here's a Bonus Post!
Where have you gone that is worth making a puzzle about?

Throwback Thursday - 1931 Cadillac V-16 Victoria

This great car is a super throwback to when cars were made to show style.  No scantly clad lady here to see, just a beautiful car.  What's your favorite car ever?

Wilderness Wednesday - Waterfall

When out in nature you probably want to stop and take a break to enjoy nature instead of just walking on by.  Water areas are a natural place to take a break.  Just be sure you are cautious.  Water is one of the most dangerous and unpredictable things you can come across.  Be sure to stay alert while enjoying nature. Floods can happen without warning and with no noticeable cause sometimes.  Also watch out for wild animals who also came to enjoy the cool water.

Trippy Tuesday - Dream Frame

Through the looking glass is one way to view this puzzle.  Although there doesn't seem to be glass in the frames, they are still portals looking into another reality.  Where are you looking though if you stack three of them together?  Is it back where you came from?

Manga Monday - Playing an Instrument

Instruments have been in manga and anime for as long as there've been instruments. The shamisen is a traditional instrument dating a few hundred years back.  This more resembles the koto without the chairs.

Doubles Sunday - Double Deck Bus

Here's a double worth puzzling over.  The double decker bus is great for sight seeing.

Space Saturday - Purple Nebula

I love a good nebula.  They are one of the most showy blips in the sky.  This one is purple, one of my favorite colors.  This is such a twofer.

Fractal Friday - Peacock

I love how showy a peacock is.  They just love to strut their stuff.  What many don't know is that the peacock only refers to the male of the species.  The female being the peahen.  Think of it like chickens, cocks and hens.  Not sure where the "pea" portion of the name came from.  If you know please tell us.

Throwback Thursday - Throwing Back the Fish

Figured I'd play with the wording this time and also bring some awareness to fish conservation.

Back in 2019 Biologists from the five Gulf states began to conduct red snapper research — and any angler lucky enough to catch one of the 3- to 5,000 tagged fish might be able to cash in for up to $500.

Each tag will be worth a minimum of $250, and some fish will  have two to help researchers learn how many tags fall out. The tags are yellow with a five-digit tag number starting with the letters “RS”, and the words “Reward $250. Keep tag,” plus a phone number to call.

To get the reward, anglers need to report the fishing port from which they departed, the date the fish was caught, the fish’s length and weight, the fish’s tag number, and the latitude and longitude where they caught it. The tag itself can be mailed in, though researchers may accept photographs.

Scientists expect about 10% of the tagged fish to be caught in the $12 million study called the Great Red Snapper Count, which was designed to check the accuracy of federal red snapper figures.

Wilderness Wednesday - Utah Mountains

Mountains have always been associated with the wilderness.  That's probably because they're hard to build on and hard to grow stuff on.  Roads are tricky and sometimes the ground is not so stable.  "Beware of rock slides"  is a sign you won't see anywhere else.  They're sure pretty to look at though.

Trippy Tuesday - Flying Whales

Just about every trippy image is going to be a drawing or modification of reality. Thus the anime art look of today's puzzle.

Manga Monday Lavender Girl and Flowers

The detail and angles in the drawing show how much the artist really knows drawing a figure.  The lavender color throughout makes this a slightly more challenging puzzle.

Fractal Friday - Vegetation

Fractals are a key component in nature.  Plants are a prime example of fractals in growth.

Throwback Thursday - Atari Setup

Talk about a Throwback Thursday. Even the carpet in this picture reminds me of the 80's.  If you've never played Pitfall on an Atari then you don't realize how difficult some of these games really were.  Simple yet complex.

Wilderness Wednesday Wrangell-St. Elias Wilderness

Wilderness areas are  protected by the federal government.  This is in a more than 9 million acre area in Alaska.

Trippy Tuesday Optical Illusion

Some optical illusions are more complex than others.  The shading on this one makes for a change in angle no matter where you look.

Manga Monday Flying Sword Girl

flying through the air, this detailed image is sure to be a fun puzzle.

Doubles Sunday Friends

A good friend's got your back.  They might not give you their hat to keep the sun out of your eyes even though they have sunglasses already but they will share their drink.

Space Saturday Brightened Space

Space looks black usually to us in the city but when you have the ability to do longer exposures or brighten data you've collected for an image you can often see brilliant scenes.

Fractal Friday Plants Curl

Fractals are a mathematical representation of what we see in nature all the time.  Plants use such patterns as a matter of typical growth.

Throwback Thursday Super Mario Bros 2

It wasn't the most liked of the Super Mario series but it was probably the easiest to beat which made it more fun for those of us who didn't want a challenge so much as a story.  Game screens though are more difficult that you might think in puzzle form.

Wilderness Wednesday Snowscape

Getting a good snow picture to do a puzzle with can be difficult.  You don't want it to be all white, so the trees are great to break up the blankets of snow.

Trippy Tuesday Stairs

Stairs are the usual go to for optical illusions.  Recently I saw someone who built stairs out of wood that look just like an optical illusion but were just built so at a particular angle looked impossible.

Bonus: Sandwich Keychain

Bonus post just for the fun of it.  Love the little key chain eating a sandwich.

Manga Monday Shopping at the Mall

Monday is going to be manga day. I've several scheduled to post.

What should the other days focus on??

So far I'm thinking:

Manga Monday
Trippy Tuesday?
Wilderness Wednesday?
Throwback Thursday?
Fractal Friday?
Space Saturday?
Super Doubles Sunday?
